Colossians 2:6-10
As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, 7 rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it[b] with thanksgiving. 8 Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ. 9 For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; 10 and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.
These verses clearly declare that we are complete in HIM. Can you believe your completeness in Christ when satan challenges your identity ? You are a perfect creation in Christ Jesus, nothing missing and nothing has broken. There are erroneous teachings in Christendom which teaches about two kinds of righteousness, positional righteousness and practical righteousness. Though there is an element of truth in that kind of teaching, it does not produce any results. We cannot be double minded receiving anything from God (James 1:13-17). When we believe in our positional righteousness, the practical righteousness will follow and eventually align with the positional righteousness in Christ Jesus. In other words, if we can believe and put our faith in who we are in Christ, it will eventually overcome who we are in the natural, even though there is a great disparity between these two positions.
FOCUS ON OUR IDENTITY IN CHRIST JESUS - BY LOOKING UNTO THE AUTHOR AND FINISHER OF OUR FAITH
Adam and Eve could not find their identity of " Image and likeness to God" (Gen 1:26) through their five senses. Jesus also could not find HIS identity through His five senses, He also had to believe the Word of God concerning Him. You also cannot find your completeness through your five senses. The only way to establish in our identity is by trusting God and His Word.
My friend "JESUS IS YOUR IDENTITY" and He live inside us, When satan challenges your identity, focus his attention to Jesus. He will flee from you with his tails torn apart. Don't try to prove your identity by what you can do, He (satan) will tear you with his deceptions. Resist him by focussing his attention toward Jesus and His cross. When he knows that we are rooted and grounded in the perfect work on the cross, he will leave you for a period of time. Keep in mind, since devil is patient and persistent he will come around you for an opportune time. Our spiritual warfare is to live with the identity of christ even when we dont feel like it. And as we live out with this idenitity, Jesus will manifest himself through us and prove the world that we are born off God.
BE ESTABLISHED IN YOUR GOD GIVEN IDENTITY, AND DON'T TRY TO PROVE YOUR IDENTITY BY WHAT YOU CAN DO
