Genesis 3:14-15
And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life: 15And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
After the fall of man, God is talking to the serpent "I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel". I would like to reveal a powerful truth from this verse, which will get you get out from the age old deception of legalism. The seed of woman mentioned here is "Jesus". Scientifically speaking women do not have seed, Jesus is actually the "Incorruptible Seed" of God, planted in the womb of Mary.
This is a verse where we can apply the "Law of multiple reference", which means we can derive many meaning for Seed of the woman and Seed of the serpent". I am going to refer to the seed as a thought pattern and the products of that thought pattern. The thought pattern of the devil, which can be called "Law" and the thought pattern of God, which can be called "Grace". Law mindset says "I don't want anything free, I will perform and earn, independant of God. Grace mindset say " I am what I am by the grace of God" I will just rest in the perfect work of God.
When Jesus the seed of the woman nailed the "Law" on the cross, He actually bruised the head of the serpent. In other words, Jesus nailed the thought pattern of the devil on the cross. "Law" is the thought pattern of the devil, which is originated by Lucifer in Eden, the garden of God, which is then implemented by Adam in the Garden of Eden. Please read carefully, these two gardens are different, though it sounds identical. One is called "Garden of God" and the other one is called "Garden of Eden". In the Garden of God, Lucifer was an anointed Cherub covered with all kinds of precious stones, while in the Gard of Eden, he is already fallen and he is in the form of a serpent.
This thought pattern is the product of a rebellious nature, independance from God. This is a thought pattern which is not submissive to God. We can see this rebellious nature in Pharisees, Saducees and the scribes. The essence of this thought pattern is "I will reach where I am now on my own terms [self effort]" independance from God. Lucifer was casted out from heaven because of this mindset. Please study the mindset of Lucifer just before he was casted out [Isaiah 14:13-18] and his position in heaven where He was casted out from [Eze 28:13-19]. Serpent tempted Eve and Adam with this mindset and they both fall into that trap.
God created Adam and Eve in His image and in His likeness, they don't have to eat the forbidden fruit to be like God, they only have to put their trust in the creator. Please carefully look into this mindset then you will understand the nature and the power of this deception. The temptation was to become like who they are already through the violation of God's one and the only commandment. This mindset is very deceptive and subtle, because it has all the forms of godliness, after all their intention is good, to be like God. If you look at the 21st century church;the main stream teaching and preaching of the church is inducing or promoting this thought pattern. A thought pattern which is already nailed on the cross 2000 years ago by Jesus, is still bruising His[Jesus'] heel. Jesus is the Head and we are the body of Christ, all that the body has to preach and teach is what the head has done on the cross.
Though Jesus bruised the thought pattern of the devil when He nailed the Law on the cross; this Law or thought pattern is still bruising His heel, by the teaching and preaching of the law by the ignorant believers.
Now let us see how the 21st century church carry this thought pattern. If you are born again, you are already Holy, righteous, Blessed, Anointed, Healed, prospered and you are complete in HIM. Any teaching or preaching which induces believers to "do" to get what they already have is satanic or pharasaical. Pharisees and the Saducees were trying to earn their righteousness through their self efforts, rather they would have submitted to the righteousness of God.
You are a new creation in Christ; believe that you are already righteous, holy, anointed, blessed, prospered and complete in HIM. Any work or self effort that a believer does to earn what he already has in Christ is called the work of the flesh. It is deception, get away from these dead works.
Whatever you are looking for; You already have it - Quit earning to get what you already have in Jesus.
