Mathew 5:19
For I say unto you, that except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.
We enter into the kingdom of God when we are born again; by believing with the heart and confessing with our mouth that Jesus is our Lord. Here Jesus is revealing a powerful truth; “To enter into the kingdom of God, we must exceed the righteousness of scribes and Pharisees”, in other words, Jesus is saying “We must fulfill all the righteous requirement of the law to enter into the kingdom of God”.
Let us understand “How we exceed the righteousness of scribes and Pharisees when we are born again”? The moment we are born again, Jesus comes and lives inside of us. Once Jesus is alive in us we must no longer live by our identity in the five senses; we must live by HIS identity. Father God looks at us based on who we are in JESUS. If we do not recognize this spiritual reality, we will approach God based on who we are in the five senses (flesh). It is our responsibility to proclaim to our five senses about this great exchange.
We have not done any good works to exceed the righteousness of scribes and Pharisees; we only believed the perfect work of Jesus on the cross to exceed the righteousness of scribes and Pharisees. Everything in Christian life starts with believing the perfect work of Jesus on the cross; whether it is faith, righteousness, healing, peace, and abundance etc, all starts with believing the perfect work of Jesus on the cross.
Everything changes when the life of Jesus comes into us. Once born again, we have to live by HIS faith, HIS righteousness, HIS health, HIS abundance etc. As apostle Paul said "It is no longer I who live, but Jesus lives through us", releasing the life of Jesus through us is Christian life. We are only yielding to HIS life, it is our responsibility to capture any thoughts that does not align with this truth (2 Cori 10:5). Once our mind is renewed with this truth to the extent of oneness with the mind of Christ, we will see the manifestation in the five senses.
All our blessing starts with the person Jesus and His crucifixion; if the world understands this truth, they would run to the person Jesus and dig deeper into the perfect work of Jesus on the cross. This message must be preached in every churches, prisons, brothals, rehab centers, schools, colleges, streets etc, people will run towards the cross, just like how a thirsty deer run towards the stream. All pharmaceutical researches to discover new drugs would come to an end, if the world understands the therapeutic effects of the cross. All researches to solve human problem would stop if they understand the answer is in Jesus and His perfect work on the cross.
The body of Christ, whom God appoints to dig deeper into this truth and reveal to the world, is digging deeper into the human wisdom. What a shame. The body of Christ; let us wake up and dig deeper into this great truth and reveal Jesus and His perfect work on the cross.
