Romans 6:6 -7

Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. ⁷For he that is dead is freed from sin.

Knowing what? Apostle Paul talks about a truth that will free us from sin. Jesus said in John 8:32 "You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free". Let us see what is the truth that will set us free from sin . The truth Apostle Paul reveals is the death and burial of our old man along with the death and burial of Jesus. If we can believe that our sinful nature or the old man is dead and buried, we will be free from sin.

When Jesus died on the Cross and was buried as Last Adam, the whole Adamic race was in Him. The whole world participated in the Adamic sin; likewise the whole Adamic race participated in the death and burial of Jesus. That means, the whole world involuntarily participated in the disobedience of first Adam and obedience of Last Adam. The whole world participated in the death and burial of Jesus, but only those who believe the death and burial and the resurrection of Jesus as new man be free from sin.

Jesus died and buried as the Last Adam, but He was resurrected as the new man. The whole world did not particpate in the resurrection of Jesus, only those who believe that Jesus is risen from the dead participate in the resurrection and become a part of the new man race (Romans 10;8-9).

The World''''s sin problem is taken care by the Son on the Cross. The work and the word are completed but this truth is not revealed to the whole world yet. We the body of christ are the dispensers of this great truth and unless we reveal this truth, the world will still die in their sins and doomed to hellfire and damnation.

Our willpower is no match to power of the sin, that is why Jesus has to deal with the sin issue of the world by dying on the cross, once for all. Sin cannot be dealt with our decisions, fasting, praying or by any self effort. Sin can only be dealt with the power of Truth. Jesus said " I am the way, the truth, and the life" So the truth is now a person and His name is Jesus. Let Jesus live through us, He can handle the all the issues of our life.
