Wherever the law is preached, you will see the dominion of sin, so then what should we preach? Preach Grace. The Grace is not just a subject; it is all about the person Jesus, the Alpha and the Omega. If you think Grace as a subject to preach, you will run out of messages. The Grace is all about Jesus and His love towards humanity. The law focuses our attention towards our own weakness, while Grace focuses our attention towards the strength of Jesus. The remedy for any sin issue in our life is to focus our attention towards the the unconditional Love of God. The word “Law” means any set of rules and regulations to achieve righteousness with God, such as Pentecostal law, Baptist law or Methodist law etc. Every Church must have rules and regulations for administrative and disciplinary purpose, but not to please God.
God wants us to lead a very holy life, more than you ever thought about, but the issue is, how are we going to reach that level of holiness?, Is it by practicing all laws, or by the Grace of God? It is only by understanding the love of God that we can lead a holy life of His standard. The law magnifies the sin and condemns us, while Grace magnifies our righteousness in Jesus Christ, and reveals the love of God.
Most of us think, if we only preach about the goodness of God (Grace), then the people will go ahead and live in sin. The Bible says that, it is the goodness of God that lead people to repentance (Romans 2:4). Preach the Grace of God, the Grace of God [not you] will teach them to lead a holy life. Holiness is the fruit of understanding the Love of God.
Titus 2:11-12 says that “For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, 12Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we
should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;
“We preach Grace; the Grace will teach a person to lead a holy life”. The more we preach about the Grace of God, there will be a hunger and thirst for holiness. You might have some bad examples (people) in your mind who knows Grace and live in sin. There might be several bad examples in the history of Christianity, who abuse the Grace of God, but preach what the Word of God of says, not what you experienced or the world experienced. Those who abuse the Grace are a minority, but Satan wants to focus your attention to that minority, so that people won’t preach Grace. For those who abuse the Grace of God, let them read Hebrews 10:26-30.
Let us preach the goodness and the love of God, which is already revealed through the perfect work on the Cross. The Grace will teach us to deny the ungodliness and worldly lusts and to lead a holy life. The Bible says that the strength of death is sin and the strength of sin is the law (I Cor 15:56). Apostle Paul clearly stated that the reason this sin shall not have dominion over us is because we are not under law but under Grace. However, most Christians today are still operating under the law so it''''''''s no surprise that sin is still having dominion over them. Understanding our freedom from the O.T. law is a prerequisite to breaking the dominion of sin in our lives.
