Identity Crisis

Daily Devotional
By Bro.Thomas Chakkalackal PMP, MSc, M.S

Genesis 1:26 (KJV)

And God said; Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

Genesis 3: 5 (KJV)

For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

Adam and Eve were created in the image and likeness of God. I think, if they were confident about their identity, they would have overcome the temptation. But they were in an identity crisis; they never had a Bible to read Genesis 1:26 to understand their identity. There is no record any where in the bible that God talking to them about their identity (image and likeness).

Satan challenged their identity; he is still challenging our identity. It is man''''s responsibility to know who they are in Christ. If you are a person who focuses your attention to the five senses to understand your identity, then you are in an identity crisis. Be confident about your Identity. (Who you are in the spirit).

Child of God, we must spend time in the spiritual mirror (Word of God) to understand who we are in the spirit. We are identified with Christ, we are seated together with Christ in the heavenly places, we are the righteousness of God, we are complete in Him, and we are His inheritance. Tradition and religion teach about your physical identity and what you lack in the five senses. We cannot lead a victorious Christian life with our physical identity.

Satan challenges only the things that we already have (In the Spirit); he won’t challenge the things that you already don’t have (This is the deception).

Satan challenges our healing, because we are already healed (Spirit).

Satan challenge our prosperity, because we are already prospered (Spirit).

Everything needed for life and Godliness is in our born again spirit, it is our duty to release it to our soul and body.

Our God is an awesome GOD, He is full of LOVE

Further Study: Ephesians 1:1-23

Confession: I am healed, prospered, delivered, made sound and made whole. I walk by faith not by sight. I overcome the devil by the blood of the lamb and the word of my testimony
